After being away for a such a long time, Max returned to visit his friends at Mary MacKillop. He was so happy to see them. He stayed with his friends in the library and told them all about his adventures at the many schools.
Just before Max arrived back at Mary Mackillop there had been a fire in the administration building. Max was worried and asked Mrs S what happened to all the children.
Mrs S told Max that when the children needed to leave the school that day, they all stood up and walked with their teachers and helpers to the park across the road. She told Max the children did this very quickly because they knew what to do as they had had a practice earlier in the year. Max was happy that the children knew what to do.
Mrs S told Max that the children were looked after while they were in the park. They had water to drink and some apples to eat. "Did they have any bananas to eat?" asked Max. "No Max" answered Mrs S.
Max was very happy that everyone was safe.
