On Thursday afternoon, Mrs. Egan drove Max to Carmel and Bill's home. On the way, Max saw lots of yellow trees. “They are not yellow trees Max” explained Mrs. Egan. “They are the yellow flowers of the wattle tree. This is the time of the year when you will see lots of them. You will them on your way to Sydney Max.”Carmel and Bill drove to Sydney that night so he didn’t see the wattle trees. Carmel and Bill told Max they were taking Max to the Boat Show at Darling Harbour on the Friday.
Max saw many big boats. He wanted to go outside to look at all the really big boats but it was raining and he didn’t want to get wet.
The next day, Max left for Perisher with Rob and Brian. When Max got there he saw white stuff on the ground. “That’s frost” Max said. (Max remembered seeing it at Mrs. Egan’s school.)
“No Max, that is called snow” explained Rob.
“I am very cold” Max said when he got out of the car. “Can I stay inside? I don’t want to go out on the snow."
“Yes Max. Brian and I are going to go skiing and we will be home later tonight.”
Max enjoyed the day watching all the people skiing from his window. He didn’t want to go out onto the snow on Sunday either because he was feeling a bit tired and people looked very cold outside.
Max, Brian and Rob left on Sunday afternoon and drove back to Sydney.
On Monday, Brian and Rob went to work while Max stayed at their home. He was feeling a little sick. Max remembered how he felt when he got sick while he was at Holy Cross so he knew he had to stay in bed.
On Tuesday, Brian took Max to his school. It was a school in Sydney near the ABC buildings where Max went to the Knit In. There were small children like Max had met at Stephanie’s school but there were very big children as well. Brian explained that these children were secondary students. They didn’t have a playground like the schools Max had visited. The children played sport on the rooftop becasue they didn't have an oval!
After school, Mrs. S picked Max up because she was taking him somewhere very special.

That night Max went to The Hills Centre at Castle Hill to see the 2006 Wakakirri presentation by his old friends at OLOW. Max got very excited.
He had his very own seat (Row F Seat 67) He went on to the stage but had to get off very quickly.

When his friends from OLOW were on stage, Max cheered very loudly. He even waved his green glow stick!!
The children from OLOW won an award for being the best behaved children throughout the day. The principal, Mr. J, was very proud of the children from his school.
Max also enjoyed seeing children from many other schools. He is hoping to visit them one day as well.
Mrs. S left Max with Mrs. M from OLOW because she was going to a meeting on Wednesday. Max hoped that he would meet Mrs. Q. Mrs. Q works at St Oliver’s school. Max is visiting her school next week.
